Job summary

Travelers is seeking an Associate Claim Representative, Outside Property, to join a structured 9–12 month training program. The role begins with comprehensive training on policies, procedures, and claim systems, progressing toward independent handling of 1st party property claims.

The position is remote-based with work at residential and commercial locations and may involve deployment to other states through the Catastrophe Response Program. A license and ongoing education may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is required.
• Previous internship or work experience in customer service or insurance.
• Willingness to obtain an active adjuster license where required by state law.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and willingness to learn claims management and estimating software.

Responsibilities

• Participate in structured training classes covering insurance policies, claim processes, and systems.
• Review, investigate, and document 1st party property claims under supervision.
• Gather information from policyholders, claimants, witnesses, and third-party providers.
• Learn to investigate and evaluate facts to determine coverage for building damages.
• Establish scope of damages for building and contents; assist with estimates.
