Job summary

The Travelers Indemnity Company is seeking an Associate Claim Rep, Outside Property, to begin with comprehensive training in claim handling, customer service, and policy interpretation. The role focuses on developing skills to manage 1st party property claims with a typical 9–12 month program and potential progression to full claims handling.

Work is remote with assignments across residential and commercial sites; travel to sites may be required as part of catastrophe response, and licensing

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in a related field.
• Proven customer service experience or internship in insurance preferred.
• Willingness to obtain an active adjuster license where required by state law.
• Ability to learn claims management and estimating software.

Responsibilities

• Actively participate in structured training classes covering policies, claims processes, systems and procedures.
• Review, investigate and document 1st party property claims under supervision.
• Gather information from policyholders, claimants, witnesses, and third-party providers.
• Learn to determine coverage for building damages per policy terms.
• Estimate scope of damages for building and contents losses and support written estimates.
