Job summary

The Travelers Indemnity Company is seeking an Associate Claim Rep, Outside Property, to join a structured training program focused on 1st party property claims. You will learn claims handling, customer service, and policy interpretation as you work with experienced professionals.

The role is remote-based with work at residential and commercial sites, plus the option to work from a Travelers office. After the program, you’ll handle claims independently, with licensing and ongoing education

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required; internship or work experience in customer service or insurance preferred.
• Willingness to obtain an active adjuster license where required by state law.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); willingness to learn claims management and estimating software.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with clear, professional information delivery.
• Ability to exercise sound judgement within established authority.
• Exceptional customer service and attention to detail; multitask effectively.

Responsibilities

• Participate in structured training on policies, claim processes, systems, and procedures.
• Review, investigate, and document 1st party property claims under supervision.
• Gather information from policyholders, claimants, witnesses, and third-party providers.
• Learn to determine and apply coverage for building damages per policy terms.
• Establish accurate scope of damages for building and contents losses for estimates.
• Provide timely, professional communication to customers and internal stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate claim activity records in management systems.
