Job summary

West Bend is seeking a qualified claims professional to handle complex Commercial Line and Property claims for the Madison, WI area with minimal supervision.

The role is fully remote with up to 50% field time, including periodic travel to an office for meetings, training, and events. Candidates must live in the Madison area and demonstrate strong negotiation, investigation, and customer service skills.

Qualifications

• Must have a bachelor’s degree in Business, Insurance or related field.
• Associateships in Claims or General Insurance are preferred.
• CPCU coursework or continuing education is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Handle complex CL & PL property claims with minimal supervision.
• Utilize Claims technology and conduct thorough investigations.
• Research coverage decisions, evaluate damages and liability, and negotiate settlements.
• Mentor others in the team and maintain high customer service standards.
