Job summary

The Hanover Insurance Group invites a Senior Field Property Adjuster to independently manage moderate to high-value field property claims across Milwaukee, Appleton and Madison. This role requires advanced investigations, evaluation, and negotiation skills, with travel on short notice to support claim outcomes.

You will lead investigations, review coverage, prepare documentation, and coordinate with legal, underwriting, vendors and agents.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with claim handling.
• 5–10 years of adjusting experience.
• State adjuster licenses and valid driver’s license.
• Strong Xactimate proficiency, Level II preferred.
• Knowledge of local regulations and ability to build rapport with insureds.
• Excellent negotiation, judgment and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage field property claims including CAT response and outside investigations.
• Lead investigations, review coverage, and issue documentation.
• Identify subrogation opportunities and coordinate recoveries.
• Maintain detailed claim records and prepare comprehensive reports.
• Coordinate with legal, underwriting, vendors, and agents; may appear in mediations/arbitrations.
