Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ year of experience in customer service, insurance claims, construction-related work, or military leadership.
• Understanding of property claims handling and insurance policy interpretation.
• Experience using estimating tools (e.g., Xactimate or similar platforms preferred).
• Strong negotiation, communication, and conflict resolution skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of low to moderate complexity property claims from intake through settlement.
• Investigate claims using policyholder statements, third-party information, and supporting documentation.
• Evaluate coverage, liability, and damages in accordance with policy terms and state regulations.
• Negotiate fair and equitable settlements within assigned authority limits.
• Document all claim activity accurately and maintain complete and compliant file records.
• Identify potential fraud indicators or special investigation needs when applicable.
• Utilize estimating tools and platforms to assess property damage and develop loss estimates.
• Collaborate with vendors, internal teams, and external partners to resolve claims efficiently.
• Support catastrophe response efforts, including potential overtime, on-call periods, or travel when required.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
