Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is seeking a Project Manager Expat Tax to lead initiatives across internal teams and external vendors.

You will initiate, plan, execute and control multi-person projects aligned with strategic goals, establishing sponsor relationships and delivering measurable results. Responsibilities include defining scope, schedule, budget, and quality, while managing resources, risks, and change control.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Project Management, MIS, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 2-3 years of relevant work experience.
• Strong operational acumen with internal/external systems.
• Familiarity with formal project management methodologies.
• Demonstrated decision-making, analytical, problem-solving abilities.
• Track record of prioritizing and meeting deadlines.
• Effective written and oral presentation skills and facilitation.
• Ability to communicate with all levels of internal associates, external vendors, and partners.
• Ability to work proactively in a team with limited supervision.
• Supervisory skills in a matrix-management environment.

Responsibilities

• Understand the business needs of internal and external customers.
• Provide subject matter expertise for Expat operations and 3rd party systems.
• Escalation resolution between external vendors and Expat teams.
• Own overall responsibility for the success of assigned projects.
• Define project objectives and deliverables to meet needs.
• Identify assumptions and constraints impacting schedule, resources, costs, quality, and risk.
• Define scope, schedule, budget, and quality levels for the project.
• Identify, obtain, and organize necessary project resources.
• Prepare and execute plans for quality, change control and communications.
• Execute against the Project Plan and report on scope, schedule, quality, costs, resources, risks.
• Verify and document project results.
• Close the project and transition to operations if needed.
• Provide client-facing and internal support for day-to-day operations.
• Collaborate across business units and field teams.
• Other duties as assigned.
