The position reports to the Director of Project Engineering and is located in San Francisco, California on a hybrid schedule. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• A degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related engineering science.
• Minimum of 10 years of engineering experience in solar/energy storage projects including HV substation equipment.
• Minimum 10 years of on-site experience with solar activities.
• Minimum 5 years of direct management experience leading a multidisciplinary engineering team.
• Willingness to travel at least 30% of the time.
• Experience with AutoCAD (or equivalent).
• Experience with PV performance modeling tools (preferably PVSyst).
• Knowledge of PV plant design and optimization.
• Knowledge of the National Electric Code.
• Experience managing projects from initial design to installation and execution.

Responsibilities

• Lead all stages of multiple projects and project engineering.
• Provide technical leadership for design and regulatory compliance.
• Supervise planning for contract preparation and reporting to clients.
• Develop and implement project engineering standards and processes.
• Mentor and develop junior engineers and team members.
• Contribute to safety culture and continuous improvement.
