Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Project Cost Controls Analyst to deliver data‑driven financial analysis across solar, storage, and substation projects. The role is fully remote with periodic site travel up to 25% and requires collaboration with project managers and field operations.

You will build project forecasts, monitor cost drivers, support internal controls, and prepare executive‑level insights to guide cost management and strategic decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related analytical field.
• 1–3 years in project controls, FP&A, or data‑driven roles.
• Proficiency in Excel; Power BI, Python, SQL preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to translate data to business insights for leadership.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain project cost forecasts with cross‑functional teams.
• Monitor assumptions, identify drivers, risks, and opportunities.
• Lead monthly reporting and cost control processes.
• Support SOX compliance through controls documentation.
• Develop analytics models to forecast future costs from historical data.
• Assist with budget mapping and department accuracy.
• Analyze variance drivers in cost, schedule, and resources.
• Create executive‑ready decks highlighting trends and recommendations.
• Translate variance drivers into clear business narratives for leaders.
• Engage with field teams to gather data and drive improvements.
• Identify cost‑saving opportunities and process improvements.
• Contribute to lessons‑learned and portfolio trend reviews.
