Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Project Cost Controls Analyst to deliver data-driven financial analysis, performance tracking, and forecasting across solar, storage, and substation projects. The role is fully remote with periodic travel to sites (up to 25%).

You’ll build cost forecasts, develop analytics models, and communicate insights to senior leadership, enabling proactive cost management and portfolio optimization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an analytical field.
• 1–3 years in project controls, FP&A, or data-driven roles.
• Proficiency in Excel; Power BI, Python and/or SQL preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with structured modeling.
• Experience partnering with stakeholders to achieve outcomes.
• Effective communicator translating technical data for leadership.
• Data management skills and creative problem solving.
• Experience building clean decks to influence decisions.
• Detail-oriented and self-starting; travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain project-level cost forecasts with cross-functional teams.
• Support Sarbanes-Oxley compliance through controls documentation.
• Develop analytics models to forecast future project costs.
• Assist budget mapping for departmental accuracy.
• Analyze performance trends and drivers across cost, schedule, and resources.
• Conduct root-cause analyses and inform mitigation actions.
• Create and maintain cost tracking and reporting systems.
• Gather cost data from project teams and communicate insights.
• Identify cost savings and process improvements.
• Translate data into executive-ready storytelling and dashboards.
