Job summary

HOK is seeking a Project Architect who will work primarily remote from the Tallahassee area, collaborating with the Project Manager and Project Designer to drive project success and financial performance.

The role emphasizes delivering accurate technical documents, coordinating across disciplines, and mentoring junior staff while fostering sustainable design practices. This position supports a hybrid work environment with strong client engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in architecture or equivalent in education or experience.
• 12+ years of design experience.
• Licensed Architect with current registration in your region.
• NCARB registration preferred.
• LEED accreditation or Green Associate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design documentation ensuring quality and BIM standards.
• Coordinate across disciplines and with external consultants.
• Ensure technical accuracy and compliance with codes and project budgets.
• Mentor junior staff and lead project teams.
• Support client interface and project communications.
• Oversee meetings, schedules, and delivery of drawings and specifications.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in architecture

Master’s degree preferred

12+ years design experience

Licensed Architect

NCARB registration preferred

LEED accreditation or Green Associate preferred
