Job summary

HOK in Washington, DC seeks an experienced licensed architect to lead project documentation and construction phase services, ensuring the design intent is carried through to drawings and specifications.

You will collaborate with project managers, designers and consultants, supervise staff, mentor junior team members, and drive QA reviews while signing/sealing drawings. A strong focus on sustainability and BIM coordination is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in architecture is required or equivalent in education/experience.
• 10+ years of design experience.
• Licensed Architect with current registration, if licensure is offered in your region.
• NCARB registration preferred.
• LEED accreditation or Green Associate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the overall design intent is incorporated into detailed documentation.
• Monitor design process from concept through construction administration.
• Coordinate drawings and specifications with consultants and vendors.
• Lead the BIM data organization and file structuring; set project standards.
• Supervise preparation of technical drawings and mentor junior staff.
