Job summary

HOK is seeking a Project Architect/Design Lead to partner with the Project Manager and Project Architect, driving conceptual design and financial performance across multiple projects. You will shape design direction, coordinate construction documents, and present designs while mentoring junior staff and ensuring quality standards.

Responsibilities include leading design development, coordinating with clients and authorities, and supporting marketing and practice growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in architecture or equivalent required.
• Master's degree preferred.
• Licensed Architect with current registration preferred.
• NCARB registration preferred.
• LEED accreditation or Green Associate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design development and concept design for projects with emphasis on design quality and timelines.
• Coordinate with project manager and project architect to manage budget, schedule, and communications.
• Develop construction documents and support design presentations to clients and authorities.
• Mentor and supervise less experienced staff; ensure QA/QC and adherence to standards.
• Oversee on-site visits, client meetings, and design reviews to verify requirements.
