Smart Tech Contracting is seeking a Project Accountant to join our accounting team remotely in the United States. You will work with project management, field and design staff to perform standard accounting activities over the project lifecycle.

This role requires strong billing, contract administration and ERP experience. You will support project initiation, generate billings, monitor receivables and help optimize project financials while collaborating with project managers.

Qualifications

• Four years of experience in business administration.
• ERP / billing software experience (Vantagepoint a plus).
• Business analysis experience (Power BI a plus).
• Ability to work remotely and communicate effectively.
• Experience with project accounting, billing projections, and contract administration.

Responsibilities

• Support new PO and CO data entry and routing.
• Assist project initiation in ERP system.
• Prepare and submit client billings per requirements.
• Investigate invoicing discrepancies and correct as needed.
• Monitor project billing and cash flow.
• Provide data for resource planning.
• Support project managers with accounting through lifecycle.
• Track accounts receivable and collections.
• Lead ERP-related inquiries with project managers.
