Job summary

Aston Carter is seeking a Project Accountant for a fully remote role based in the United States. You will manage the complete project billing lifecycle for engineering and architectural projects, from setup to final invoicing, and support audits with detailed financial data.

The role requires strong Excel, project accounting software proficiency (Deltek Vantagepoint/Vision or BST), and at least 1+ year of related experience. Remote work flexibility is provided.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of project billing experience within an engineering or architectural firm.
• 1+ years creating invoices for multi-million dollar projects.
• 1+ years of experience managing and billing change orders.
• Hands-on billing experience in an engineering or architectural environment.
• Proficiency with Deltek Vantagepoint, Deltek Vision, or BST project accounting systems.

Responsibilities

• Review client contract documentation and set up projects in the project accounting system.
• Manage the full invoicing cycle for engineering and architectural projects.
• Process subconsultant and subcontractor invoice payments and verify budgets.
• Track change orders and ensure billing reflects approved scope and fees.
• Analyze work-in-process and accounts receivable for trends and performance.
• Assist with project closeout activities and final billing.
• Respond to internal and external inquiries with detailed financial analysis.
