Compassion & Choices seeks an Operations Specialist, Programs to advance our mission through expert program support and project management. You will manage operational platforms, coordinate events across in‑person, hybrid, and virtual formats, and build scalable volunteer systems.

The role emphasizes administration, data reporting, and continuous process improvement, with strong collaboration across departments and vendors. A remote work setup is offered with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of experience in project management, event production, and volunteer operations within a nonprofit or mission‑driven environment.
• Hands‑on experience developing onboarding or training documentation for technology systems.
• Proven experience with end‑to‑end event production across in‑person, hybrid, and virtual formats.
• Experience with vendor contract negotiations, procurement, and budget administration.

Responsibilities

• Lead key operational systems and projects across the organization to drive operational excellence.
• Administer systems, manage projects, and support execution of organizational programs and events.
• Serve as systems administrator and project manager for organizational programs and events, including onboarding documentation and troubleshooting.
• Lead operational systems and processes supporting internal and external events across in‑person, hybrid, and virtual formats.
• Manage event technology platforms, registration systems, webinar and livestream tools, and virtual meeting spaces while troubleshooting issues.
• Oversee vendor sourcing, venue selection, contract negotiations, procurement, budgeting and event logistics.
• Track registration trends and post‑event evaluations; develop dashboards and reports for leadership and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with program staff to design, build, and implement volunteer platforms and streamlined workflows.
• Support administration and continuous improvement of volunteer tools and resource libraries.
