Job summary

The University of Alabama at Birmingham is seeking an Education Coordinator to oversee the educational programs for specific student groups, manage records and schedules, and perform essential program duties for clerkships, residents, and fellows.

Under the guidance of the Program Manager-SOM Programs and fellowship Directors, the EC will support day-to-day administration of fellowship programs, ensure educational quality, and maintain compliance with ACGME standards and GME regulations.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in a related field and two (2) years of related experience required.
• Work experience may substitute for education requirement.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate activities and operations for the educational program(s) of a specific student group (e.g. medical students, residency programs, fellowship programs).
• Maintain records, schedules and program information.
• Perform general program related duties for incoming, continuing and outgoing clerkships, residents, medical students or fellows.
• Oversee day-to-day administration of accredited/non-accredited fellowship programs for multiple assigned subspecialties under supervision of Program Directors.
• Assist in developing and maintaining educational quality and ensuring compliance with ACGME accreditation standards, UAB GME regulations and other regulatory requirements.
