Job summary

Centene Corp. in the United States seeks a senior project/program manager to drive cross-functional initiatives in healthcare services.

You will lead multiple projects from requirements through deployment, aligning resources, budgets, and timelines to strategic objectives, while communicating progress to executives. The role emphasizes optimizing performance, ensuring regulatory compliance, and delivering measurable improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years project implementation, product or program management experience.
• Experience with Amisys, Xcelys or similar claims adjudication engines strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Payment Accuracy programs within EDI Gateway Availity or similar programs.

Responsibilities

• Promote increased program efficiency, service levels and value by monitoring performance and identifying improvement opportunities.
• Plan, organize, monitor and lead concurrent projects with cross-functional teams to meet strategic objectives.
• Develop strategies to realize improvements and align priorities and resources.
• Manage full project life cycle including requirements, plans, budgets and closure.
• Use PM tools and techniques to manage projects and maintain documentation.
• Provide status updates to stakeholders, including executive summaries and presentations.
• Negotiate with stakeholders to secure resources and mitigate risks.
• Lead cross-functional meetings to align expectations and objectives.
• Provide functional and technical knowledge on program requirements and operations.
• Oversee governance communications and ceremonies.
