Job summary

GovCIO is seeking a Program Manager to join the Data and Scientific Computing Service for Sustainment of GenISIS Team. You will plan, coordinate, and oversee work of 20+ technical professionals, ensuring deliverables are on schedule and within scope.

The ideal candidate will establish priorities, manage risks, and communicate status to leadership. This fully remote role requires strong PM skills and the ability to lead cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in IT/CS/PM.
• 12+ years in program management or technical coordination.
• Experience coordinating 10+ professionals on software/IT projects.
• Strong planning, scheduling, risk management, and reporting skills.
• Familiarity with Jira, MS Project, Azure DevOps, Smartsheet or similar.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, milestones and resources.
• Break down complex initiatives into work items with owners and deadlines.
• Coordinate multiple projects and manage dependencies across teams.
• Monitor progress and address delays, risks, and conflicts proactively.
• Prepare concise status reports for leadership and stakeholders.
