Job summary

Federal Emergency Management Agency in New York, NY, is seeking a Program Analyst to support the Regional Office in developing assessment policies, analytics, and reporting to gauge preparedness for all hazards.

You will consult with stakeholders, present findings to leadership, and coordinate with federal, state, and local partners to enable a coordinated emergency response; telework is available.

Qualifications

• Experience analyzing data to support preparedness and risk assessment.
• Ability to present analytic findings to senior leadership.
• Experience coordinating with federal, state, local partners and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Consulting with stakeholders to identify and document business and mission requirements, including data requirements.
• Presenting analytic findings in briefings and reports to regional leadership and external partners.
• Formulating recommendations, data policies, procedures, or plans to solve problems or interpret conditions.
• Preparing briefings, status updates, options papers, and memoranda for senior leadership on non-recurring issues.
• Coordinating with federal, state, local, tribal, territorial, NGO and private sector groups for coordinated responses.
• Reviewing database changes with project managers and SMEs to ensure data access and accuracy.
• Working with senior managers on policy design, development, and implementation.
• Liaising with internal and external partners to foster professional relationships.
