Job summary

Datavant is seeking a Profee Auditing Specialist to perform professional fee coding audits and support educational needs related to coding quality and compliance. This fully remote, part-time role offers a flexible schedule and the opportunity to influence healthcare data accuracy from your own workspace.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of professional fee coding/auditing, CPC certification, and experience with EMRs like Epic or Cerner.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Professional Fee coding and/or auditing.
• CPC certification is required.
• CPMA certification preferred.
• Maintain 95% accuracy in coding/auditing work.
• Experience with Epic, Cerner and other EMRs.

Responsibilities

• Perform professional fee coding audits of medical records using ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS and modifiers.
• Provide detailed rationale for identified changes with references and documentation location.
• Keep up-to-date with regulatory changes and AHIMA ethics.
• Organize and prioritize multiple cases to ensure workflow and resolutions.
• Educate coders through the auditing process and collaborate with team.
