Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year of outpatient multidisciplinary coding experience.
• Professional coding certifications required (CPC/COC/CPC-P/CRC/CIC/CCS/RHIT/RHIA) or equivalents.

Responsibilities

• Abstract data from medical records into Epic and 3M 360 to provide detailed case summaries.
• Identify and code diagnoses and procedures per ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 guidelines, including primary and secondary codes.
• Cover SDS, Observation, ED and ancillary records as needed, with attention to documentation quality and professional fee coding.
