Datavant is seeking a Profee Auditing Specialist to perform professional fee coding audits and provide clear justifications for changes. The role supports education, regulatory updates, and efficient case handling in a fully remote, flexible schedule.

CPC is required; CPMA is preferred, with emphasis on accuracy and ethical practice. The position favors candidates with multi-specialty experience and availability around standard business hours, approximately 20 hours per week, supporting our

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Professional Fee coding and/or auditing
• CPC (required)
• CPMA (preferred)
• Maintain 95% accuracy rate
• Experience with Epic, Cerner, and other EMRs

Responsibilities

• Performs Professional Fee coding audits of medical records and abstracts using ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, and modifiers.
• Provides rich and concise rationale explaining the reasoning behind any identified changes, including references and documentation locations.
• Keeps abreast of regulatory changes.
• Organizes and prioritizes multiple cases concurrently to ensure workflow and resolution.
• Provides coder education via the auditing process.
• Adheres to AHIMA code of ethics and maintains professional standards.
• Demonstrates customer-service focus, professionalism, flexibility and dependability.
• Exhibits strong organizational, teamwork, and leadership skills.
