Job summary

Presbyterian Healthcare Services is hiring a Remote PRN ProFee Multi-specialty coder. The role codes inpatient and/or outpatient hospital records, ED records, Home Health & Hospice records and professional fees for PMG providers to support reimbursement, research and regulatory compliance.

Ideal candidates hold one of the listed coding certifications, have 1–3 years of coding experience, and are proficient with EMR systems, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must have one of the coding credentials listed (HCS-D/CCS/CCS-P/CPC-H/CPC/RHIT/RHIA) within one year of hire.
• 1–3 years of coding experience; PC skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Review entire medical record and assign CPT, ICD, and MS-DRG for reimbursement and compliance.
• Abstract data for QI and Joint Commission reporting.
• Resolve pre-bill edits and denials for assigned accounts.
