Job summary

Presbyterian System Services is seeking a Remote PRN ProFee Multi-specialty coder in New Mexico to code inpatient/outpatient hospital records, ED, Home Health & Hospice, and professional fee services for reimbursement and regulatory compliance.

The role requires 1–3 years of coding experience, a recognized coding credential, and proficiency with CPT/ICD coding. Remote work from New Mexico with a flexible schedule will apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must have one of the following coding certifications at time of hire: HCS-D, CCS, CCS-P, CPC-H, CPC, or RHIT/RHIA with credential within one year.
• One to three years of coding experience required.
• Experience with encoder and EMR systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review patient records and assign CPT, ICD, and MS-DRG codes for reimbursement and regulatory compliance.
• Abstract data for QI and Joint Commission purposes.
• Research medical records across systems to complete coding timely and address accounts receivable.
