Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Professional coder certification with AHIMA and/or AAPC.
• 2+ years in Windows PCs, MS Excel and EMR systems.
• 2+ years of ICD-10 and CPT coding experience.

Responsibilities

• Assigns accurate diagnostic and procedure codes per documentation and guidelines.
• Assigns CPT and ICD-10 codes for all services.
• Monitors work queues to ensure timely charging and coding.
• Generates coding queries for documentation clarification as needed.
• Keeps up-to-date with coding conventions and updates.
• Manage workload efficiently with minimal supervision.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
