Job summary

Encova Insurance is seeking a Production Underwriter for Workers' Compensation, with responsibility for accounts over $75k in premium. This is a remote role that travels Illinois to visit agencies, and a company vehicle is provided.

The role reports to a Regional Vice President, Commercial Lines. We may hire senior-level candidates; the full range includes both senior and non-senior postings with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of progressive commercial lines underwriting experience in package lines and/or worker's compensation.
Bachelor's degree preferred, demonstrated significant underwriting experience may substitute.
Demonstrated working knowledge of commercial multi-line underwriting, pricing and coverage.
Demonstrated ability to partner with independent insurance agents and drive growth.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain agency relationships through regular visits with agency leadership and staff.
Coordinate training and provide tools to drive sustainable growth with Encova across all profit centers.
Identify underwriting issues and develop plans for resolution and growth.
Manage account renewals and new business presentations with agents.
