Job summary

Norstella seeks a Product Operations Manager to build our product ops from the ground up. You will assess current practices, define a scalable PDLC, and implement tooling and templates. This role blends strategic thinking with hands-on execution and requires collaboration across global time zones.

You will partner with product, engineering, design, and go-to-market teams to drive alignment, establish dashboards, and enable repeatable processes in a fast-growing pharma tech environment.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in product operations, product management, or a closely related function.
• Demonstrated experience building or maturing a product ops function.
• Strong systems thinking with impact on outcomes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for senior leaders.
• Experience with agile methodologies and product development tools (Jira, Confluence, Productboard, Notion, or similar).
• Comfortable with ambiguity and collaborating across time zones, including India/US.

Responsibilities

• Audit current product team ways of working and identify gaps.
• Design and implement a product operations framework tailored to the organization.
• Establish standards for product documentation and roadmaps with technical writer input.
• Define and roll out a consistent product development lifecycle across teams.
• Evaluate, select, and implement tools for planning, backlog management, and roadmapping.
• Build dashboards for real-time insight into health, velocity, and portfolio status.
• Create scalable templates and playbooks to reduce ramp time for new members.
• Design operating cadence for QBRs, roadmap reviews, sprint demos, and leadership syncs.
• Facilitate planning ceremonies and ensure right stakeholders are engaged.
• Track and report OKRs with clear progress visibility.
• Act as connective tissue between product, engineering, design, and go-to-market teams.
• Build onboarding resources and enablement for product managers and stakeholders.
• Prepare materials for exec reviews, board updates, and strategic planning cycles.
• Drive continuous product training on market research, business case development, and synthesis.
• Establish feedback loops and identify bottlenecks to drive improvements.
• Benchmark against industry best practices in product operations.
• Take on special projects with autonomy and end-to-end delivery.
