Job summary

Nava Public Benefit Corp. is a consultancy focused on simplifying government services. We seek an experienced accounting-focused leader to guide financial processes, integrate accounting software, and ensure compliance across agencies and contractors.

You will work with legal, public policy, business, and operations teams to improve efficiency, transparency, and accuracy in financial systems while guiding stakeholders through complex policy implementations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience with strong financial principles.
• Experience with budgeting, financial reporting, and compliance with state regulations.
• Experience in consumer web applications or government-related projects is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for technical and management trade-offs.
• Ability to guide teams and stakeholders through complex processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert knowledge in accounting practices and systems.
• Lead the integration of accounting software to improve accuracy and efficiency.
• Collaborate with legal, policy, business, and operations teams to ensure compliance.
• Develop and review program documentation, training content, and manuals.
• Oversee audits and ensure proper control logging and system monitoring.
• Define project direction, scope, and prioritization from initiative to features.
• Socialize product initiatives with partners and contractors, building buy-in.
• Measure progress toward business goals and translate data into action.
