Job summary

Nava Public Benefit Corp. is seeking a senior accounting/product leader to drive financial practices and software integrations across government-facing projects.

The role requires 5+ years in accounting, strong communication skills, and experience with budgeting, reporting, and public policy alignment. Remote-friendly and collaboration with cross-functional teams is central to success.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of financial measurement tools and accounting principles.
• Experience with budgeting, financial reporting, and state government regulations.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Experience running and/or shipping consumer web applications.
• Ability to generate strong product plans and build buy-in across teams and partners.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for technical, user experience, and project management trade-offs.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.
• Work authorization that doesn’t require visa sponsorship, now or in the future.
• May be subject to a government background check or security clearance, depending on the contract.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert knowledge and insights in accounting practices.
• Lead integration of accounting software solutions to improve efficiency and data accuracy.
• Guide stakeholders through complex public policy implementation and business processes.
• Collaborate with legal, public policy, business, and operations teams for accurate accounting processes.
• Develop and review program documentation, training content, and manuals.
• Identify areas for process improvement and suggest changes to enhance efficiency.
• Stay updated on accounting standards and regulations; assess impact on projects.
• Review content for accuracy and completeness; provide guidance as needed.
• Socialize and build buy-in for product initiatives with agencies and contractors.
• Measure progress toward business goals and translate data insights into actions.
