Nava Public Benefit Corp. is seeking an experienced accounting-focused leader to steer complex financial projects and drive secure, compliant system integrations.

You will guide policy-aligned product initiatives, partner with government clients, and manage stakeholders across legal, policy, and operations teams. The role requires strong communication, 5+ years of accounting experience, and the ability to translate financial concepts into actionable plans.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience and strong grasp of financial measurement and reporting principles.
• Experience with budgeting, financial reporting, and compliance with state government regulations is preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical, user experience, and project management trade-offs.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert knowledge and insights in accounting practices.
• Lead integration of accounting software solutions to improve process efficiency and data accuracy.
• Oversee system conversions and integrations with stakeholders from legal, public policy, and operations.
• Guide teams through complex policy implementation and business processes.
• Identify areas for process improvements and propose changes to enhance efficiency.
• Stay updated on changes in accounting standards and regulations through thorough research.
• Review and approve content developed by others for accuracy and completeness.
• Communicate complex financial concepts clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
• Collaborate with IT teams to ensure audit logging and system monitoring are effective.
• Define project direction, scope, priority, and breakdowns into features and metrics.
• Socialize and build buy-in for product initiatives with government partners and contractors.
• Prioritize roadmaps with the project management team and inbound work units.
• Represent Nava's outcome-centric and user-centric approach in discovery meetings with agencies.
