Stripe is seeking a product lawyer to join the Product Legal team. You will counsel the global product team on AI adoption, data protection, consumer protections, and product development while collaborating closely with engineering, partnerships, privacy, and security teams.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years as a lawyer with technology experience and excels at strategic, business-focused legal advice in a fast-moving environment. Remote-friendly role with global impact.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8+ years as a lawyer in a top law firm or in-house with tech companies
• Experience advising on legal/regulatory aspects of product development in tech
• Strong understanding of data privacy regimes (GDPR, CCPA) and AI
• Ability to partner with product, engineering and partnerships teams
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
• Strategic mindset for business-enabled legal decisions in fast-moving environments

Responsibilities

• Counsel the global product team on AI adoption, data protection, privacy, consumer protection, and product development
• Collaborate with engineering, partnerships, privacy, and security to provide pragmatic legal guidance
• Draft and update internal and external terms and documents for Stripe products/services
• Monitor regulatory updates and industry trends to advise on product impact
• Act as a trusted business partner and advise on product roadmap and strategy
