Job summary

ShiftKey is seeking a procurement professional to manage end-to-end software and services purchasing. You will lead vendor negotiations, review contracts, and advise executives on cost-saving strategies. The role emphasizes collaboration with Finance, Security, and Legal to move deals through approval faster.

Remote-friendly role across the US, with a preference for the Dallas–Fort Worth area. Strong finance acumen and IT purchasing fluency are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Strong finance background with budgets and cost analysis.
• Hands-on vendor negotiation experience, ideally with software or services.
• Procurement experience end-to-end with a track record of progressing in the field.
• Executive presence: comfortable in the room with executives and VPs.
• Relationship-building skills: earn trust with business leaders and work independently.
• IT background or fluency in IT purchasing for technical conversations.
• Experience at a technology or SaaS company is a plus; procurement in other industries considered.

Responsibilities

• Review purchase requests and move them through the established intake workflow, from first request to signed contract.
• Lead negotiations and renewals for software, cloud services, contractors, and other vendors.
• Review contract terms, licensing, and pricing against the market, and push back where the numbers don’t hold up.
• Check whether existing tools can meet a business need before anything new gets bought, and evaluate alternatives when they can’t.
• Track license usage and renewal dates so decisions get made well ahead of deadlines.
• Advise business owners, including executives and VPs, on procurement decisions and cost avoidance.
• Work with Finance, Security, and Legal to get deals through review and approval.
