Job summary

Sardine is seeking a Procurement Manager to lead our first in-house buying across software, IT, marketing, travel, and services. You will own vendor relationships, negotiations, renewals, and purchasing decisions, ensuring the right tools at the best price.

You’ll collaborate with Finance, Legal, and Security to balance business needs, terms, and risk in a fast-paced environment. This role is remote-first across the US/Canada.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in procurement or vendor management in a high-growth tech company.
• Proven track record owning vendor negotiations, contracts, and renewals.
• Experience evaluating vendors and negotiating favorable pricing and terms.
• Ability to influence stakeholders and coordinate purchasing across functions.
• Experience building procurement processes from intake to spend visibility.
• Experience coordinating vendor security and data privacy reviews (SOC 2, DPAs).
• Excellent executive-level written communication and relationship management.

Responsibilities

• Own the full vendor lifecycle from sourcing to renewal.
• Negotiate terms, manage vendor risk, and ensure best total cost of ownership.
• Partner with Finance, IT, Legal to guide purchasing decisions.
• Consolidate tools and optimize spend across software, services, travel, and events.
• Lead process improvements and establish scalable procurement practices as first hire.
