Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Remote Purchasing Officer to manage procurement activities from a distance. You will oversee the entire purchasing lifecycle, from requisition processing to order fulfillment, while maintaining strong supplier relationships and ensuring compliance.

This fully remote role requires experience in purchasing, excellent organization, and the ability to collaborate with internal teams to meet purchasing requirements and support operations.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Purchasing Officer or in a similar procurement role.
• Strong knowledge of purchasing principles, supplier management, and negotiation techniques.
• Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, suitable for remote collaboration.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Process purchase requisitions and generate purchase orders accurately and efficiently.
• Source suppliers, obtain quotes, and negotiate terms to achieve the best value for the company.
• Maintain comprehensive records of all purchasing transactions, supplier information, and contracts.
• Monitor order status, track deliveries, and resolve any discrepancies or issues with suppliers.
• Ensure adherence to company purchasing policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
• Collaborate with internal departments to understand their purchasing requirements and provide timely support.
