Job summary

The Engineering Business Services Center at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign is hiring a Procurement Officer Assistant to support faculty, staff, and students with purchasing.

Under supervision, you will process requisitions, issue purchase orders, coordinate with vendors, and assist with accounts payable and contract documents. This full-time Civil Service role may offer remote work under policy.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of university business and financial policies and procedures.
• Knowledge of university financial programs (Banner, Excel, Word, MS Access, e-mail).
• Ability to communicate effectively with faculty, staff, and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Assist with evaluation and preparation of procurement requests for EBSC units.
• Process purchase orders and assist in contract documents.
• Coordinate with vendors and university offices to resolve accounts payable.
• Prepare reports and reconciliation of monthly accounts.
