Job summary

Avantor is seeking a remote Process Safety Manager to lead the development and deployment of process safety programs across North America. You will oversee PHAs, MOC, incident investigations, and regulatory compliance, partnering with operations and engineering in a high-hazard environment.

The role requires 5–8 years in EHS/process safety, CSP/PE certifications preferred, and the ability to work independently in a remote setting while coordinating with multiple facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related technical field.
• Minimum 5–8 years of progressive EHS/process safety experience in high-hazard industries.
• Experience managing OSHA PSM and EPA RMP-covered processes.
• Experience facilitating Process Hazard Analyses (PHA) and HAZOP studies.
• Strong collaboration with operations, engineering, maintenance and leadership teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of Process Safety Management and Risk Management programs.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA PSM, EPA RMP, NFPA standards and related regulations.
• Plan, facilitate, and document PHAs including HAZOP/What-If/FMEA/LOPA.
• Lead Management of Change (MOC) processes and incident investigations.
• Provide technical leadership for corporate process safety across North America operations.
