Job summary

Jacobs Solutions Inc. in Reston, VA is seeking a Chemical/Mechanical Engineering Professional Associate to support client manufacturing facilities.

You will review designs and specs, drive construction documents, and coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams on complex projects. The role requires ABET-accredited engineering degrees, 2+ years in facilities engineering, AutoCAD proficiency, and familiarity with semiconductor tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering from ABET Accredited University (ABET-accredited)
• 2+ years in chemical/mechanical facilities engineering (water, chemical/gas distribution, piping, exhaust, drains, pumps, storage)
• 2+ years of design project delivery processes experience
• Ability to collaborate in multi-disciplinary teams
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills; leadership experience
• 1 year of experience with complex semiconductor manufacturing tools
• Proficient in AutoCAD software
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Forward-thinking and eager to learn best practices
• Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and broaden knowledge base
• Passion for buildings and construction
• 1 year field experience
• EIT or PE license

Responsibilities

• Edit client specifications and standards; review design packages (P&IDs, layouts, details, equipment plans)
• Review vendor submittals, RFIs, and construction documents
• Work on projects enabling client manufacturing; establish design requirements and produce construction documents for installation of complex manufacturing tools and facilities infrastructure mechanical systems
