Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Mechanical Facilities Design Engineer to lead projects in Boise, ID. You will collaborate with clients, contractors and site teams on HVAC, process piping, exhaust, plumbing and related systems, guiding retrofit and new installations with engineering calculations and construction support.

The ideal candidate has a ABET-accredited Mechanical Engineering degree, 7+ years in mechanical facilities engineering, 4+ years leading teams, and a PE license in Idaho or the ability to

Qualifications

ABET-accredited Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering.
7+ years of mechanical facilities engineering with HVAC, hydronics, piping and exhaust.
4+ years leading engineering design teams and developing personnel.
PE license in Idaho or able to obtain within 12 months (active NCEES record).

Responsibilities

Lead design for mechanical facilities including HVAC, piping and exhaust systems.
Interact with client, contractors and site personnel on retrofit and new installs.
Provide engineering calculations, equipment sizing, specifications and construction support.
