Job summary

Georgia-Pacific is seeking a Senior Process Control Engineer in its corporate Process Control Center of Excellence. The role focuses on improving performance, reliability, and functionality of control assets and developing new strategies for process optimization across Southeast mills with travel.

Based in the US (Southeast preferred; relocation allowed), you will partner with Consumer Products, Cellulose, and Containerboard operations, design and modify control strategies, and support capital

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Electrical, or Paper Science Engineering.
• 5+ years of professional experience with DCS systems including troubleshooting.
• Ability to travel 50-75%.

Responsibilities

• Assist mills in keeping control systems operating safely, reliably, and efficiently.
• Troubleshoot and support the daily manufacturing operation.
• Guide operations on selection and implementation of process control technologies and strategies.
• Collaborate with local operations to optimize current process control assets and performance.
• Design, program, and modify control strategies within existing control systems.
• Pursue engineering solutions to resolve equipment deficiencies.
• Support large and small capital projects as a corporate SME.
