Job summary
Georgia-Pacific is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join the Design Services Group, supporting Building Products, Cellulose and Corrugated divisions. Focus on machinery controls across the full project lifecycle from development to startup, improving safety, reliability and cost-efficiency at facilities in the Southeast.
The candidate will primarily support Building Products facilities in the Southeast and should be based in the southeastern United States.
Qualifications
- BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent with 4+ years of industrial electrical design, or 6+ years designing industrial electrical systems.
Responsibilities
- Project Execution: develop, design, procure, construct, and commissioning of electrical systems.
- Design Leadership: review and validate design packages from external firms.
- Engineering Design & Collaboration: use CAD tools to produce deliverables and coordinate with stakeholders.
- Compliance & Standards: ensure installation/test procedures meet codes and standards.
- Cost Estimation & Budgeting: estimate costs for engineering and construction activities.
- Safety & Reliability: drive electrical initiatives for safety and reliability.
- Multi-Project Management: oversee multiple projects with ~30% travel.
