Job summary

Georgia-Pacific is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead critical capital investments across PPR operations. The role requires delivering complex capital projects from concept through handover in manufacturing environments, with travel up to 80% to support development, execution, outages, startups, and mill engagement.

You will lead cross-functional teams, manage scope, schedule, and budget, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance while aligning with leadership and business goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Project Management or Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, or related).
• 10+ years of progressive project management experience with capital projects or major construction.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple capital projects ($15MM–$150MM+) across full lifecycle (P0–P6).
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans including scope, schedule, budget, and risk management.
• Lead cross-functional teams spanning engineering, maintenance, operations, finance, safety, and construction.
• Foster alignment across internal stakeholders and external partners; ensure all parties are aligned on project requirements, scope, and deliverables.
• Drive FEL development and execution readiness (P0-P3).
• Ensure alignment with mill and business leadership.
• Facilitate project reviews, status reporting, executive updates, and stakeholder communications.
• Oversee detailed design, contractor coordination, outage execution, and startup (P4-P6).
• Ensure adherence to safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
• Manage and control objective and scope changes.
• Deliver projects that meet business case and performance expectations.
