Georgia-Pacific is seeking a Process Control Engineer to lead and optimize industrial processes. The role combines engineering expertise with project leadership for cross-functional initiatives while traveling up to 75% to support projects.

You will drive design and implementation of process control systems, mentor team members, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance across facilities. This remote role emphasizes delivering high-impact solutions and documentation quality.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years in process control engineering and automation.
Bachelor's degree in Chemical and Electrical Engineering or related field (or 15+ years experience).
Proven project management experience leading multidisciplinary teams.
Strong communication and leadership abilities.
Willing to travel up to 75% (project dependent).

Responsibilities

Lead and manage projects including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact solutions on time and within budget.
Develop and maintain process documentation and project reports.
Design and implement process control systems for industrial operations.
Lead Factory Acceptance Tests and safety-related systems performance and schedules.
Identify resources and troubleshoot control issues to ensure reliability.
Facilitate instrumentation and control commissioning.
Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
