Job summary

Epson America, Inc. is seeking a Field Service Specialist to provide on-site and remote support for professional, commercial, and industrial printing equipment.

The role is remote, based in the Greater Houston area, with substantial travel to customer sites across Texas and beyond. The successful candidate will diagnose complex technical issues, perform installations and training, and document service activities while delivering high-quality customer service.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of advanced technical or field service experience for commercial/industrial printing equipment
• Field-based/on-site troubleshooting and customer support experience
• Strong electromechanical troubleshooting skills to diagnose hardware/software issues
• Experience with RIP software, color management, and ICC profiles
• Ability to travel >50% and work in the Greater Houston area
• Read and interpret technical documentation and service manuals

Responsibilities

• Diagnose product failures and perform on-site and remote repairs to return equipment to production
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, networking, configuration, and equipment performance issues
• Install Epson products and conduct customer training on operation, production, and maintenance
• Recommend solutions to improve equipment performance and customer experience
• Apply knowledge of electromechanical systems, printing/color theory, RIP software, and ICC profiles to troubleshoot issues
• Perform customer site evaluations and support product installations
• Provide technical and service training to service providers and partners as assigned
• Identify customer concerns and resolve or escalate issues as appropriate
• Document service and repair activities and maintain technical records
• Support pre- and post-launch activities with installation/service documentation
• Provide technical support via phone, email, chat, and on-site service
• Support special projects and initiatives as assigned by Service management
