Job summary

Silvus Technologies, a Motorola Solutions subsidiary, seeks a Principal Research & Development Engineer to lead and contribute to wireless technology projects. You will guide design, prototyping, and verification, reporting to the VP of R&D. Remote work is possible depending on location, with occasional travel.

The role demands advanced degrees, 10+ years in wireless systems, and proven leadership in technical projects. U.S. citizenship is required for government contracts.

Qualifications

• M.S. or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in wireless systems design and development.
• 5 years of demonstrated experience in technical project leadership (e.g., PI, technical program management).
• Participation in the complete technology development cycle: design to field testing.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen due to clients under U.S. government contracts.
• All employment is contingent upon background check and drug test.

Responsibilities

• Technical management of R&D projects and programs.
• Participate in R&D business development and capture efforts.
• Collaborate with the senior R&D team on assigned tasks.
• Supervisory/Management responsibilities.
• Travel infrequently for customer interactions, testing, or meetings.
