Job summary

Cardinal Health is seeking a Principal Technology Architect (Application Development & Maintenance) to guide enterprise platform design for the DME Diabetes business. You will partner with business stakeholders and engineering teams to align roadmaps with enterprise standards and ensure scalable, secure solutions.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of IT experience in solutions or enterprise architecture, ideally in DME/healthcare.
• Proven experience architecting large-scale enterprise platforms and complex integrations.
• Background in DME/healthcare, pharmacy, medical device preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Architect and oversee integrations across DME, Pharmacy, CRM, ERP, fulfillment, billing, payer, customer service, and analytics platforms.
• Design API-first integration strategies utilizing modern integration patterns, event-driven architectures, and microservices where appropriate.
• Develop end-to-end solution architectures supporting customer acquisition, patient onboarding, order fulfillment, billing, customer service, and ongoing patient engagement.
• Collaborate with enterprise integration teams to establish reusable services, APIs, and data exchange standards.
• Define system resiliency, performance, monitoring, and disaster recovery requirements across the platform landscape.
• Partner with cybersecurity teams to ensure compliance with Cardinal Health security standards and healthcare regulatory requirements.
