Job summary

Ladders is seeking a Principal Structural Engineer - Data Center Infrastructure (FE) to lead structural efforts for mission-critical, high-availability facilities with a focus on modular data center infrastructure. You will evaluate risk, cost, and schedule tradeoffs, developing structures that support manufacturing, prefabrication, and coordinated delivery.

You will partner with BIM and cross-functional teams to ensure sound designs for equipment, assemblies, and facility systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering with a structural emphasis.
• 8+ years of progressive structural engineering experience in high-availability facilities.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate structural solutions for technical risk, cost efficiency, and schedule adherence.
• Lead comprehensive structural analysis for various components per applicable codes.
• Provide structural recommendations for modular data centers and factory-built assemblies.
• Develop seismic bracing strategies for mechanical systems and modular assemblies.
• Engineer foundations and anchorage solutions for critical equipment.
• Support coordination for manufacturing facilities' structural design and layout.
• Collaborate with BIM teams to maintain coordinated structural models.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering with a structural emphasis
