BECU is seeking a Principal Solutions Engineer to shape the future of our lending and credit card technology ecosystem. You will bridge architecture and engineering, turning complex business needs into scalable, secure solutions that improve member experiences and partner outcomes.

This role provides hands-on technical leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and opportunities to drive modernization, cloud-first strategies, and API excellence across major enterprise platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent work experience.
• 10+ years of information technology experience with demonstrated expertise in application design.
• Experience with Financial products (Credit Card, Mortgage, Loans) and UX, integration, and API layers.
• Experience with public cloud technologies (Azure/AWS/Google Cloud).
• Experience leading enterprise-wide initiatives and cross-team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead solution design for lending and credit card platforms.
• Architect for scalable, secure technical designs that meet performance and reliability needs.
• Drive modernization and cloud-first initiatives across platforms.
• Shape API and integration strategies for enterprise use cases.
• Mentor engineers and provide architectural guidance across teams.
• Communicate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
