Job summary
BECU seeks a Principal Solutions Engineer to shape the future of lending and credit card technology, blending architecture with hands-on engineering. You will lead cross-functional teams to deliver secure, scalable financial solutions while driving modernization efforts and production excellence.
Applicants will be residents of WA/OR/ID/AZ/TX/GA/SC/NC/CA/VA or within approved remote locations; remote work is possible.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field is required.
- Minimum 10 years of IT experience with demonstrated expertise in application design.
- Experience with financial products (credit cards, loans, deposits) is required.
- Experience with public clouds (Azure/AWS) and modern software architectures is essential.
Responsibilities
- Design and deliver enterprise-scale solutions for lending and credit card platforms.
- Translate business needs into detailed technical designs ensuring performance and security.
- Lead modernization efforts and cloud-ready solution design across teams.
- Mentor engineers and align technical strategy with business goals.
- Collaborate with architects, delivery teams, and stakeholders to drive execution.
