Job summary

Altera Digital Health Inc. is seeking a Principal Network Engineer to design, implement, and optimize complex enterprise networks across on‑premises, cloud, data center, and hybrid environments. You will lead initiatives, mentor engineers, and ensure reliability, security, and performance.

The role emphasizes strong expertise in BGP/OSPF, VXLAN/EVPN, VPN, QoS, firewalls, and load balancers, with hands-on Azure or comparable cloud experience. Remote work within the United States is supported.

Qualifications

8+ years of enterprise networking and network security experience.
Strong background in LAN/WAN, cloud networking, data center, SD-WAN, and hybrid environments.
Advanced routing, switching, security, and troubleshooting skills.
Hands-on experience with Azure or other major cloud platforms.
Experience with routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and monitoring tools.
Proven leadership in network projects and technical guidance.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and support scalable LAN, WAN, data center, cloud, and hybrid networks.
Lead troubleshooting, incident resolution, and root-cause analysis.
Contribute to architecture, technology evaluation, and modernization initiatives.
Develop network standards, templates, diagrams, and documentation.
Drive security, segmentation, resiliency, and performance improvements.
Collaborate with Cloud, Security, Infrastructure, and Operations teams.
Mentor network engineers and oversee large-scale projects end-to-end.
